We’re Growing!

Home Hardware Center is growing again. Fresh on the heels of acquiring stores in Greenwood and Winona, MS, on Aug. 1 we will complete the acquisition of four more stores in Greenville, Vicksburg, and Laurel, MS, and Searcy, AR. The four stores are former McCoy’s Building Supply locations.

John Sieggreen, president of CNRG, commented,

“We are excited to have the opportunity to add four McCoy’s stores to Home Hardware Center. HHC was our first CNRG brand and these stores will fit nicely into their current footprint. McCoy’s has a long-standing reputation for quality customer service and solid operating disciplines; we are honored that the McCoy’s team felt that CNRG would be a good fit for these stores.”

McCoy’s leadership explained the change was made in the interest of better serving customers.

“We have learned in recent years the importance of managing our own distribution for core products, and we have made big investments in growing our distribution capabilities to serve as many stores as possible,”

McCoy’s President and CEO Meagan McCoy Jones said in a statement.

“These four stores are outside the reach of our distribution network, and as we plan our growth, Mississippi and Arkansas are not in our target geography. The best opportunity for these stores is with an owner who is investing in this geography and in whom we trust to operate and lead well. We have trust and confidence in the CNRG team, and I’m thankful for their work and sensitivity as we’ve planned this transaction.”

What’s Not Changing

We’re still your local hometown hardware store. As with McCoy’s, The Home Hardware Center brand is built around supporting the local community, and we will continue that tradition in these four locations. When you come to Home Hardware Center, you can expect to see the same great employees offering the same great service our loyal customers have come to know and expect.

What to Expect

As these locations complete the transition to Home Hardware Center, keep an eye out for our changing signs, uniforms, and advertisements. Aside from the different look, we’re hoping to make the changes as seamlessly as possible.
